Raipur, 27 October 2026/
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai presented appointment letters to 520 newly recruited employees across various cadres of the Health Department at a programme held at the Chief Minister’s Residential Office in Civil Lines, Raipur on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that expanding healthcare services and ensuring access to better treatment for every citizen are among the State Government’s top priorities. Healthy citizens are the strong foundation of an empowered society and a developed Chhattisgarh. He said the government is working to ensure that people in villages, tribal regions and remote areas, as well as cities, receive timely, quality healthcare.
Congratulating the newly appointed employees and extending his best wishes for their future, Chief Minister Shri Sai called upon them to discharge their responsibilities with a spirit of service, compassion and complete dedication.
He said that the opportunity to serve in the Health Department carries a significant responsibility. Every person visiting a hospital, along with their family, looks to healthcare workers with great hope and trust. The responsibility of every employee associated with healthcare, therefore, is not limited to the discharge of official duties; treating patients with compassion and a spirit of service is equally important.
The Chief Minister told the new recruits that no work is nobler than caring for patients. He urged them to regard their duties as an opportunity for public service and a virtuous endeavour, and to work with complete honesty, attention and dedication. Their courteous conduct, prompt response and willingness to serve would further strengthen the confidence of patients and their families in the healthcare system.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that good health is the first requirement for progress and success in life. A developed Chhattisgarh can be built only on the foundation of a healthy Chhattisgarh. Citizens can contribute to the progress of their families, society and the state to their full potential only when they are healthy. With this approach, the State Government is continuously working to expand healthcare infrastructure and increase the availability of personnel.
He said that healthcare facilities have expanded considerably over the 25 years since the formation of Chhattisgarh. To accelerate this progress, the State Government is continuously working to establish new medical colleges, develop modern medical facilities in hospitals, ensure the availability of essential equipment and resources, and strengthen the healthcare workforce. The aim is to develop a healthcare system in which every citizen of the state can access quality treatment whenever needed.
520 Newly Appointed Healthcare Workers to Serve in 14 Districts
The 520 candidates selected for posts across various Health Department cadres include 208 staff nurses, 95 male rural health coordinators, 94 female rural health coordinators, 25 pharmacists, 50 ward boys and 48 ward ayas. The newly appointed employees will serve in 14 districts of the state. These appointments will increase the availability of personnel required to run healthcare services in the districts concerned and help provide better healthcare facilities to patients.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that most of the 14 districts where the new recruits will serve have predominantly tribal populations, making their responsibilities even more significant. He said that the continued expansion of healthcare facilities in regions such as Bastar and Surguja is bringing positive changes. The State Government’s clear objective is to ensure that geographical distance does not prevent any citizen from accessing better treatment.
The Chief Minister said that healthcare workers serving in remote and tribal areas are an important link between the government and the public. Work carried out with compassion and a spirit of service in these areas can make a substantial difference to the lives of many families. He urged the newly appointed employees to live up to people’s trust wherever they are posted and play an active role in further improving healthcare services.
